Designed for a creative couple with a love of floristry, gardening and the outdoors this consultancy restores and enhances generous grounds and areas of native vegetation. The ultimate Covid Lockdown project.

An analysis of viewsheds, topography, vegetation communities and waterflow was undertaken to site the house and studio. Existing dams , a legacy of the properties previous use as a Banana Plantation were drained, excavated and reinvented as ornamental ponds on a scale usually reserved for golf courses and public parks.

Large basalt boulders some in excess of 5 metres were placed to terrace an area for a jetty to the pond island and an enertaining deck and sun-lounge, both of generous proportions.

Wetland plantings that restore the vegetation communities of local creeks and wetlands embed the constructed landscape within the natural environment.

Deep lushly designed garden beds will surround the house and pool.
